No one can accuse Chick Corea of resting on his laurels. A leading light in creative music for five decades, Corea's latest project, The Vigil, features all new compositions and some reworkings of old favorites. The new band includes Tim Garland on saxophones, flute and bass clarinet, Hadrien Feraud on bass, Marcus Gilmore on drums and Charles Altura on guitar. From his early work with Mongo Santamaria, Stan Getz and Miles Davis, to avant-garde and fusion with Return To Forever, Corea tackles it all with a contagious enthusiasm.
