With nine albums of original material to his name and appearances on countless records by the likes of Martha Wainwright, Cake, Teddy Thompson and Norah Jones, guitarist Jim Campilongo is a bone-fide guitar hero (or more specifically – a Telecaster hero). Combining heavy elements of country twang, blended with a healthy dose of avant-jazz adventurism, Campilongo has seen his role as a guitar guru greatly expand as he is also a contributing editor to Guitar Player Magazine. His latest solo album is 2009’s Orange and in 2012 Fender Guitars bestowed him the honor of introducing the Campilongo Signature Telecaster to their production line.
