R&B/swing/blues-throwback group Davina and the Vagabonds have garnered a reputation as the busiest band in The Twin Cities. Vocalist Davina Sowers, who has been dominating the Midwest scene with her deeply powerful vocals since 2005, leads this Minnesota band. With a sound that’s equal parts Bonnie Raitt, Etta James and Amy Winehouse, she’s augmented by the band’s eclectic horn arrangments and rollicking back beats. They have been tearing up the Midwest and Eastern Seaboard’s musical scene, and these road-travelling vagabonds are continuing to expand their turf westward. This band is on the rise; not one to miss!
