More Information
Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke join with Jack DeJohnette, a recipient of the NEA's 2012 Jazz Master Award, to celebrate the esteemed drummer/composer's 70th birthday. Corea (also a recipient of the NEA Jazz Master Award) and DeJohnette first performed together in 1968 at the start of Miles Davis' electric phase. Stanley Clarke was a 19-year-old bass prodigy when he appeared on Corea's first Return to Forever recordings in the early '70s, an association that has been revived in recent years. However, this special tour is the first time all three have played together. As a trio, these virtuosos turn music into magic, leaving audiences spellbound. |
