Claire Daly tears it up on baritone saxophone and flute. A six-time winner in DownBeat magazine's Talent Deserving of Wider Recognition, and voted Baritone Saxophonist of the Year (in 2005) by the Jazz Journalists Association, Daly is a straight-ahead, solid swinger. Her inventive melodic talent has been featured with Joel Forrestor in People Like Us; the Divas Big Band; cross-cultural explorers TriBeCaStan, and a diversity of artists ranging from Billy Taylor to Taj Mahal, to James Brown. Her quartet includes Steve Hudson – piano, Mary Ann McSweeney – bass and Peter Grant – drums. |
