More Information
Los Angeles native and Grammy-nominated reed-man Ted Nash is a successful performer, conductor, composer, arranger and educator and has a chair with the famous Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. One of his original compositions was recorded by JALCO – the only person besides Wynton to do so. Nash got his start as a teen, touring with Lionel Hampton and the Quincy Jones Band, and was performing regularly with the likes of Don Ellis, Louie Belson and Toshiko Akiyoshi. Nash plays on a virtuosic level that blurs the lines between avant-garde and traditional. |
